This years AGM is to be held on the 15th July 2009 at 8pm, it will be at Padgate community centre and it would be really helpful if we could all make the effort to attend. All committee positions are up for reelection so if anybody is interested or knows of anybody, then please attend. It would be good to have some new blood on the committee so anybody who is connected to Woolston Rovers, either as volunteer, parent or coach is very welcome.

Woolston Rovers Open Age start their pre-season training on Tuesday 9th June.

Training starts at 7pm PROMPT every Tuesday and Thursday at Birchwood Forest park initially.

Saturday and Sunday sessions will also be included as well as some track work.

All players new, current and past are welcome

Woolston Rovers RLFC is a community sports club based at Bennett’s Recreation Ground, Padgate consisting of one adult and four junior/ youth teams. Our successful open age team has gained promotion for the past three seasons, finishing last season as Division 4 champions.

Each home game carries with it a stream of expenses in addition to the annual payments for facilities and insurance. During the following season the team will play a minimum of 10 games at home. In order to help the team continue playing we are looking for sponsors to cover the following essential match day expenses.

Referee’s fee £25 x 10

Hospitality £30 x 10

Kit wash and repair £15 x 20

First Aid £10 x 20

Raffle prize £10 x 10

Sponsors can sponsor single matches or for the season. All sponsors will be thanked and acknowledged through our website. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Woolston Rovers’.

Woolston Rovers play their home games at Bennett’s Recreation Ground, Padgate on Saturday afternoons throughout the season. The season runs between September and April.
